
Danielle Bicknell
Danielle (aka Dani) Bicknell is a Social Impact Advisor and Program Manager for SecondMuse, designing educational programs to help build 21st century economies. She has over a decade of work experience in the private, public and nonprofit sectors to create human-centered solutions to real-world problems. Before joining SecondMuse, she was the program manager of the Big Ideas Contest, at the Blum Center for Developing Economies headquartered at UC Berkeley. She has a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at the University of British Columbia and Masters degree in International Development and Education from the University of Pennsylvania; where she focused on international development, social innovation, and gender mainstreaming. Dani also has her own consultancy, Dab Consulting, where she advises startups and organizations internationally; in the areas of research, design, and scale. She has worked for UN agencies, as a programme specialist in the Division for Gender Equality, at UNESCO, and prior to that she was a founding employee of LendUp, a financial technology startup, where she created and scaled the financial education and social impact departments. She has led training, and consulted and collaborated in many different countries, primarily in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and Europe. Dani is driven by a lifelong passion for empowering girls and women through cross-sector educational opportunities. Her experiences living in North America, South America, and Europe have equipped and provided her with opportunities to work with diverse populations and she believes education should have no borders.
