The Forum for World Education (FWE) is pleased to announce a Welcome Home Reception honoring Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, President of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network and University Professor at Columbia University, and Dr. Sonia Sachs, to be held in New York City on August 28, 2026.
The reception celebrates the completion of the Marco Polo Drive, a remarkable 43-day, 15,000-kilometer journey inspired by the historic Silk Road. Throughout the journey, Professor Jeffrey Sachs and Dr. Sonia Sachs promoted peace, people-to-people connectivity, cultural exchange, sustainable development, green technology, trade, and cooperation across Europe and Asia.
Bringing together ambassadors, education leaders, and distinguished guests, the reception will celebrate this inspiring journey and its vision of strengthening friendship and understanding among nations.
