On April 26, the 12th China and Globalization Forum was held in Beijing under the theme “Innovative Globalization: New Drivers and New Challenges.” The forum brought together approximately 200 participants from around the world, including policymakers, representatives of international organizations and NGOs, leading scholars, business leaders, and media representatives.
Cheng Davis, Co-founder and President of the Forum for World Education (FWE), was invited to participate in the China–U.S. Youth Roundtable: A Model for China–U.S. Youth Exchanges — Success and Insights from Schwarzman College.
During the session, speakers emphasized that meaningful youth exchange must move beyond symbolic engagement toward long-term, structured, and deeply rooted collaboration—highlighting education as a vital “infrastructure of trust” in today’s complex global landscape. This perspective closely aligns with FWE’s core principle of Education as Diplomacy.

At a time of increasing global complexity, FWE continues to serve as a platform that connects education, the public sector, and industry—fostering dialogue, mutual understanding, and the development of future global leaders. Through its international conferences, cross-border partnerships, and youth-focused initiatives, FWE remains committed to advancing sustainable, trust-based global engagement.

Echoing the Forum’s call for renewed global cooperation, FWE believes that education—and especially youth exchange—remains one of the most powerful pathways to building a more connected and resilient world.
